Kimora Lee Simons born Nee Perkins on May 4th, 1975 in St.Louis,Missouri. Kimora was born from a Koran Mother, African american Father, leaving her grandmother to later on adopted and raise her. As a child she was a victim of consist bullying for her height (being 5’10 by the age of 10) and being biracial, to help her with her lack of confidence about her height her grandmother placed her in a modeling school to help with her struggling confidence. Kimora officially became a contracted model by the age of 14 which later in life (age 17) she had met and then married Russell Simons. In 1999 she launched her aspirational lifestyle brand “Baby Phat” (later taking over phat farm) followed by KLS, Kouture by Kimora which, brings us to today she is now the creative director and president of Just Fab (online store).
Kimora Lee Simons it not my #MMW for what she has accomplished in the fashion industry as well as movies and television but her huge heart for the needy and children as well as her boss attitude she has a woman in the corporate world which, they say is a man’s area. she came in and changed the course of what was by creating her own lane and driving at her pace (I love a take charge kind of woman) Kimora with a major amount of other celebrities attend the “Bounty make a clean differences” cleaning and donating cleaning supplies to teachers in over 30 public schools. She partnered up with then husband Russell Simons as well as his brothers to run “Rush Arts Foundation” which provides urban disadvantaged youth the opportunity to be exposed to a significant amount of art exposure and education. Lastly she gives and helps with the “Geanco Foundation” helping the poor children and needy families with food, clothing, etc as well building local hospitals. I love a #MMW who can conquer the world with a pair of sexy stilettos and never breaking a sweat in the process.
